Our School - Why Choose Manning Primary

Manning Primary School is a relatively small school with fifteen classes and approximately 400 students.

It has a large, open playground space of lawn and bitumen, surrounded by mature trees, beautiful gardens and varied playground apparatus and fixed equipment (ovals, tennis and basketball courts, fitness track and a natural play environment in our Pre Primary).

Manning's national testing results reflect the high standards we strive for and the calibre of our students from a range of ethnic and social backgrounds.

Choosing Manning Primary School will ensure your child will have opportunities to be involved in the specialist programs of Music and Physical Education. Children in Years 3 - 6 learn Chinese while Years 1 - 6 have a specialist Science Teacher

Programs for instrumental music students are offered to Year 6 students through the School of Instrumental Music. Private music lessons are provided in keyboard and guitar.

Some of our academically talented students attend Primary Extension and Challenge classes catering for junior, middle and senior students.

Manning Primary School has an effective Behaviour Management Plan, including a bullying policy. Supporting this is the schools values program. We have also developed an anaphylaxis policy which you can find on this website.

The school participates in interschool sport (football, netball, volleyball, swimming and cricket) involving surrounding public schools.

The teachers at Manning, are dedicated professionals involving themselves in all aspects of the school and community.

The P & C Association is active and raises funds to support and improve student learning. The School Board positively supports and endorses the school's direction, programs, policies and budget, meeting once per term.
